The main objective of the Ministry is to establish a sustainable handloom and handicraft industry by developing the infrastructure, providing employment and income to the people, especially the marginalized groups such as women, SC/ST, differently abled persons, minorities, and the rural and remote poor. The Ministry will work towards providing a clean and safe environment for handloom and handicraft entrepreneurs.
